Widows Sons, Masonic Bikers

Our Senior Deacon this year is a keen member and he and a few equally mad pals are  proposing to make a 1000+ mile sponsored 24 hour bike ride , within the speed limits. He is aiming to raise £1,000 for the M.C.F. Festival. We think it will be much more. Check the Provincial Festival website for details.

‘The first meeting of the newly formed motorcycle interest lodge at the new home in Uffculme, includes members of the Widows Sons from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. A very special meeting in which the Senior warden assisted in initiating his son. So father and son became brothers. The fourth Hallet member.  The Vale of Haldon Lodge has a special affinity to this lodge in the form of the secretary who is also senior deacon at 7949. The next meeting is Sat. 22nd September at 11.30 am. We hope to visit again with a goodly number. The early success of this lodge is marked by the waiting list of initiates. The average age of the members must be the youngest in Devonshire. Lovely to see.
