Although it is only part of what we do, our charity work is amongst the best in the Province of Devonshire. This is no idle boast and was proved once more on 30th November, when we hosted a pre Christmas Ball at our second home. the Langstone Cliffe Hotel. Early indications are that we raised over £2,500 for the 2023 Festival which is remarkable from the 220 who attended,
The cabaret was provided by Mark Price entertainment and the rendition of The Jersey Boys particularly, was total class.
We have just agreed our charity distribution for December and this includes £200 each to Dawlish Scouts, Dawlish Rotary Defibrillator appeal, Liver cancer, Cockwood primary school and £50 Dawlish WI.
We are looking forward to initiating another new member on 3rd December , which is also our Christmas meeting. In order to accommodate member applications , we have now agreed to add September to our meeting list. It is now seven per year.
Our next big event will be our February 4th installation meeting. Our incoming master is a member of the Widows Sons Masonic Motor Cycle group which is a very pro active and respected group of Masons. We expect to be at full capacity on numbers , with visitors from all over the world. Another mile stone for the Lodge.
